RAINCATCHER INCLUDED IN ANNUAL LIST OF BEST WORKPLACES FOR 2020 BY INC. MAGAZINE

Raincatcher is one of the highest-scoring businesses, with standout employee engagement on Inc. Magazine’s coveted list.

DENVER, Colo., May 5, 2020 – Raincatcher has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of the Best Workplaces for 2020. Hitting newsstands May 12 in the May/June 2020 issue, and as part of a prominent Inc.com feature, the list is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement, and stellar benefits.

Raincatcher, LLC helps entrepreneurs buy and sell remarkable companies. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Raincatcher guides small business owners through the business buying and selling process in order to get the maximum value for their business. They are real entrepreneurs themselves who believe small business owners and their clients are the heartbeat of America and deserve their chance at the American dream. For small to medium-sized business owners ready to sell now or in the next couple of years, Raincatcher offers industry-leading proprietary valuation resources and proven roadmaps to help them through the selling process. They have robust and integrated marketing strategies for promoting a business for sale and finding the ideal buyer.

Collecting data from more than 3,000 submissions, Inc. singled out 395 finalists for this year’s list. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed, audited the data and then ranked all the employers using a composite score of survey results. This year, 73.5 percent of surveyed employees were engaged by their work.

The strongest engagement scores came from companies that prioritize the most human elements of work. These companies are leading the way in employee recognition, performance management, and diversity. It is a different playbook from a decade ago, when too many firms used the same template: free food, open work environments, and artifacts of “fun.”

Marla DiCarlo, CEO of Raincatcher, said “When you work with Raincatcher, you join a team of experienced national experts who will guide you through all phases of selling and buying a business. We understand for many this is a once in a lifetime event. We act as partners who guide, educate and broker in good faith in an industry where brokers are often seen in a negative light. This mindset is part of our everyday culture. We believe that together everyone achieves more. These are not just words; we genuinely believe in this statement.”

“Building a great corporate culture comes only from strong leadership,” says Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “The companies on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from, especially now, when company culture is more important to the workforce than ever.”

While researching the finalists, Inc. and Quantum saw distinct themes:

  • 100 percent provide health insurance.
  • 50 percent allow employees to bring pets to work.
  • 62 percent take employees to offsite retreats to relax and recharge.
  • 20 percent offer paid sabbaticals to reward length of service.

Raincatcher and Final Ascent Announce Merger

Business Broker and Exit Planning Service Joining Forces to Provide Comprehensive Suite of Services to Sell Your Business

DENVER, August 28, 2018: Raincatcher, LLC (raincatcher.com), a national leader in helping entrepreneurs buy and sell remarkable companies, and Final Ascent, LLC (raincatcher.com/exit-planning), a national exit planning services firm, today announced the merger of the two businesses. This merger expands Raincatcher’s offerings to include exit planning, a unique offering for a business brokerage.

“Today marks the beginning of a joint mission to serve the entrepreneurial community,” said Marla DiCarlo, CEO of Raincatcher. Since its founding in 2011, Raincatcher has been a leader in the business brokerage business, but lacked the ability to assist business owners in the exit planning process.

“In the past, we could only help 20-percent of the owners who reached out to us to sell their business,” DiCarlo explains. “We had no way of helping the other 80-percent, whose businesses needed executive and financial polishing to interest potential buyers. We needed a partner that could help those owners.”

Raincatcher’s business broker team can now offer its clients a trusted service that can transform their businesses into remarkable companies, uncovering their hidden value with Final Ascent’s proven, 5-phased Reach Your PEAK system. Once sellers complete the Final Ascent program, Raincatcher’s accomplished team then works on identifying multiple buyers and getting the business seller its maximum value at sale.

“We feel this partnership is the answer the small business community has been looking for,” states Steve Conwell, president of Raincatcher and former CEO of Final Ascent. “We had found a successful way to prepare small businesses for sale, maximizing their value at exit; but had no partner to sell the businesses.”

Conwell explains, “That’s where Raincatcher came in – they’re leaders in buying and selling remarkable companies, and joining forces was the right thing to do for the small business community.”

Conwell and DiCarlo worked together in a previous venture, spending several years coaching and consulting with entrepreneurs. As accomplished small business owners, Conwell and DiCarlo believe small business is the heartbeat of America and every small business owner deserves their chance at the American Dream. They had previously vowed to find a way to partner together to serve the entrepreneurial community. With Raincatcher’s new business model, they are now able to rapidly transform small to medium-sized businesses into companies that are built to sell, and in turn help buyers find remarkable enterprises in which to create their own legacy. National Business Brokerage Raincatcher Announces New Ownership

Raincatcher Purchased by Denver- and Dallas-based Business Leaders, New Company Headquarters in Denver

DENVER, July 18, 2018: Raincatcher, LLC (raincatcher.com), a national leader in helping entrepreneurs buy and sell remarkable companies, today announced new ownership. The national business brokerage founded in 2011 by Robert Hirsch, previous founder of The Elevation Group and TV host of Save It or Sell It, has been acquired by business leaders Marla DiCarlo, from Denver, Colo., and Steve Conwell, from Dallas, Texas. The company’s new headquarters are in Denver, Colo.

Raincatcher, a nationally recognized leading business broker, is known as one of the most reputable business brokerage firms employing the latest in technological advancements and integrated digital marketing to connect the best buyers with its sellers. Accomplished small business owners Conwell and DiCarlo, who worked together in a previous venture spending several years coaching and consulting with entrepreneurs, vowed to find a way to partner together to serve the entrepreneurial community and help prepare their businesses for sale and maximize their value at exit.

“We believe small business is the heartbeat of America, and every small business owner deserves their chance at the American Dream,” DiCarlo stated. “Purchasing Raincatcher is affording us the opportunity to make good on our vow to serve this underserved market and help small business owners achieve their American Dreams by getting the most out of their businesses.” DiCarlo continues, “As former small business owners, we understand the hard work and sacrifices that go into growing a company. Our number one goal is to help that owner to prepare to sell their business to help maximize the value and to be an advocate helping the owner through every step of the selling process.”

Over the next decade this country will see a flood of baby boomers selling their businesses, which is very promising to future entrepreneurs. The California Association of Business Brokers estimates baby boomers will sell almost 12 million businesses over the next decade, equating to more than $10 trillion in assets changing hands. DiCarlo explained that as the top business broker working with small- to medium-sized business, they want to help these business owners find the best buyer to continue their legacy.

Conwell and DiCarlo have built the new Raincatcher team with experience in-mind. “We are serving businesses throughout North America and need to have a team in place with in-depth expertise in all areas related to the business buying and selling process,” said DiCarlo. The Raincatcher team is comprised of professionals who are small business experts who know the ins and outs of preparing a business for sale, marketing a business for sale, and connecting the ideal buyer with its sellers. “Throughout the buying and selling process we use a team approach to best serve our clients,” she stated.
